After successful surgery on my cables, I finished the back. Yesterday the sleeves and body got a bath.

Cassidy is now ready for some seaming, hood or collar, and button bands.

I will be doing some traveling in the coming week and will need some established knitting for the trip, so, while Cassidy was drying, I cast on for a new project.

Of course, I didn’t do a proper gauge swatch AND I’m using the wrong size yarn for the pattern I chose, so this morning I ripped out ~ 300 stitches. I will cast on less stitches today and I should be good to go. The only downfall to this new project is the wool – right now it is cool enough to do this, but if the high heat and humidity return, I may have to start something with the brown Calmer I have on hand.

Finally, I had some good knitting time with several hours to myself after work last night. I settled into my knitting spot with this guy and finished both fronts before bed.

This is what it looked like this morning…

“Looking good”, I thought.. and then I saw it!

The Cassidy body now has stitches bound off for both under arms. The left front is progressing while the back and right front sit patiently on the needles, awaiting their turns.

These are my excuse for not finishing the left front last night…

My Dad’s garden has begun to produce like crazy. I washed, snipped ends and cut beans for 2 hours last night, two large gallon-size Ziplock bags full! They will be frozen tonight after work and then I plan to sit and knit away the rest of the evening (unless, of course, I have new baskets of produce waiting for me when I get home).
